Oh, I love making these!
Have you ever tried them?
They’re the perfect little craft/decor/goody basket….all woven into one.
(Grab the free template designs here.)
And while it might sound like we’re making pastries (maybe we should??)….these paper hearts are known in Denmark as julehjerter. Traditionally they’re made of red and white paper. And when the pieces are woven together, they create these little baskets, which are perfect for gifting a small treat to a friend.
I love simple ideas.
And I also love mixing it up….with cardstock, and glitter paper, felt, and all things sparkly.
I think you’ll heart making these hearts as much as we do….cause look who joined me on set?! Lucy and I are working together on this one!
First we’ll show you a basic woven heart, and then we’ll try some intermediate designs—like a clover heart and a star.
Here’s what you do…
1. Download the free Danish Hearts Template here.
2. Watch the video below.
3. Hang those darling hearts on a tree, or gift them away, and you’re (mostly) ready for Christmas.
Now hit the play button below and enjoy!
