It’s November! Which feels like the calm before the storm.
It’s that short break, when you take a decor breather before red + white twinkle lights show up. Of course it’s also my favorite month to start making pumpkin pie (or any pie). It’s time to get cozy in the house, and most of all to give THANKS!
And I want to say THANK YOU to YOU!
Thank you for always stopping by and leaving fun comments. I love interacting with you guys and seeing what you make and share online (tag me so I can see!)
So. For this month I want to keep saying THANK YOU to YOU with a few thank you gifts each week. Cause, when in doubt:
And take time to stop and smell the cactus.
If cacti have a scent?
Or maybe they don’t have a scent?
But they’re always pretty to look at (and to make!)
I designed these canvas bags with some of my artwork from my fabrics.
And I want to give some to you!
They’re such a great size to use as a purse, for knitting and sewing projects, for books. Hey they’d make a great GIFT bag to put something else in, and to gift away. It’s the bag that keeps on giving. And keeps making you hungry.

Thanks! You could make a bag like this using my Tote bag Tutorial, and the Freezer Paper stencil tutorial :)…they’re both in the Tutorials tab. But if you want…I’ll be selling these in the shop later this month! You can always snag one then too!
I love these bags!! I hope I win!! But……do you have a pattern for these bags and do you sell the image for the bags? I can make my own if so. Thanks for your wonderful ideas, and fabrics. I have purchased lots of your fabrics to make dresses and leggings for my granddaughters!
Have a great week!
Susi
Hi Susi! I don’t sell the image for the bags, but you could make something similar using my Tote bag Tutorial, and the Freezer Paper stencil tutorial :)…they’re both in the Tutorials tab. Or if you want…I’ll be selling these in the shop later this month! You can always snag one then too! ๐

Oh Dana
I’m so so glad to know that this Giveaway is worldwide. Now let’s see if I’m lucky enough to be one of the winners so I can take my (yours) new bag for a walk in Portugal! It’s seems fantastic to take all kind of things, and an extra bag is always a good idea, specialy when you have 3 kids (right?!).
Ooooo Portugal! I would love to go there one day! Or maybe one of my bags can make it there (wink wink :)) Thanks for following along and for the comment!
Love the cactus bag. Love your newsletter. You are the best.
I just love you Dana!! Both as an InstaCeleb and as the Mom of some of the best kids in the world!!! Youโre one of the best people I know!
Oh my goodness! You are so sweet to leave a comment! Thanks!! That makes my night ๐ And thank you for the kind words. And back at you. We are all better from knowing you and learning for you!!
Sorry, Dana, I have been following for a long time, and never realized I had not signed up for your newsletter. I am an old lady (71), and I used to make all my own clothes, and my Daughters. Problems with my hands, keep me from sewing, but I still get a kick out of watching your videos. I need one of those BabyLoc machines, they almost do the sewing for you! Thanks for all your ideas, and allowing us to watch your children grow up before our eyes.
Haha. No worries Jeanette! That’s so fun that you sewed for your daughters, and I wish your hands would let you do it more often these days. But I’m glad you still love checking in on sewing projects! Thanks for the sweet comment ๐
I just love your happy newsletters! Always fun and colorful!โค๏ธ
Aw thanks Martha! That makes me happy to hear! ๐
