Today starts the first round of Guest Bloggers. A few of them you’ll recognize from Celebrate the BOY. But a few are new gems I’m thrilled to share. And we’re starting at one my favorite spots. A site full of photography and creative eye candy: no big dill.
I found Katie Dill when she posted her gorgeous photo of two can-can skirts on a ladder and I knew I had to see more. This lady does wonders with a camera, capturing the beauty of life:
and the joys of being a kid:
She has a lovely SHOP where she sells handmade jewelry:
and as a mother of FIVE girls, she has plenty of opportunity to sew darling dresses:
Mrs. Katy Dill, you are a talent. I always look forward to your post when it pops up in Google Reader!
And when I asked you to share a project with us for Celebrating MOM I knew it would be incredible and perfect. Yep, you did just that.
So let’s hear it from you!

Katy:
When I was 14 years old, I was involved in a very serious car accident that crushed my pelvis, my coccyx, and my pubic bone. As we waited for the ambulance to come, my mom knelt by my side, trying to keep me conscious. Suddenly, I turned to her and asked, “Will I be able to have children?” It was my only concern. Fast forward 16 years. Here I am, not only blessed with children of my own, but 5 girls!!! People always ask me if we’re going to try for a boy, my response is, “Yes, the next 5 are going to be boys” ;). I wouldn’t know what to do with a boy at this point anyway (although Dana’s Celebrate the Boy would be a great starting place!) I first started sewing for my baby dolls, all by hand, but sewing for a live little girl is much more fun and my girls just happen to love to be sewn for. Convenient.
I love a good headband, an easy way to dress up any outfit from jeans to that little black dress, depending on the fabric you choose. I came up with a versatile headband that you could sew up for your mom, treat yourself for mother’s day, or for your little girl(s) who made you a mom!
I give you: The Ruched Headband
Oh Katy, it’s darling. Thank you for sharing your talents with us!
You can find the complete RUCHED HEADBAND tutorial HERE on no big dill.
