Don’t think I’m done with this yet. It’s my new obsession!
Round 2: another dress made from a Men’s dress shirt.
Since my husband is out of throw-away shirts, I made a run to Goodwill and scored some great finds:
I loved the contrasting fabric inside but wasn’t sure how to incorporate it.
Ends up it was in the sleeve cuff too, so I used the bottom of the sleeves to make short puff sleeves on the dress.
And I love how the sleeves turned out. I moved-in the sleeve buttons on each cuff to make it smaller for little arms. And they really puff up adorably on a little girl:
I may like this dress better than the Seaside version?? Good thing this is being gifted to a friend! That means I have an excuse to continue making more (like I need one).
I left the waistband without any elastic inside this time. I had tried it cinched but it just didn’t feel right.
Enjoy your book reading, little librarian.
