Country Girl

How I love this little skirt. I’m sad to see it go, but happy that it will be gifted to another little Lucy at her baby shower today.
Made from a thrifted curtain valance, I used the curtain as the lining, gathered the colored fabric separately and then sewed it right on top. The curtain already had a casing inside (for a curtain rod) which I used to string the elastic through. It was an evolving process, making it up as I went, but I love the result.
Inspired by my friend Erica, I decided to make a diaper cover to go along….with a little bit of love on the bum.
The perfect skirt for a morning on the farm.

Oh my gosh, that little country skirt looks adorable I can’t wait to try it next. I was wondering if you have a tutorial for the diaper cover/panties?
