I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Most of my family came from California to Texas and we partied for a week, which was so much fun!
And now, back to reality…..and to the BACK of this dress.  Isn’t it darling??
Oh my gosh you guys.
I. Love. This. Dress.

It’s called the Sophie Dress by Simple Life Pattern Company.  And of course, I used some Boardwalk Delight fabric to bring a little sunshine into my day.

This dress can twirl, look girly, you can add sleeves, make a V-back, try it without the ruffle?….although I can’t imagine why.  That ruffle just puts a smile on my face.
I’ve made two of these dresses now (one for our upcoming Chrismas card), and I love how beautifully the top bodice fits, with a button closure in back.boardwalk-delight-fabrics-and-sophie-dress-pattern-on-made-everyday-7boardwalk-delight-fabric-and-sophie-dress-pattern-on-made-everyday-1sophie-dress-pattern-and-boardwalk-delight-fabric-on-made-everyday-17

And, Simple Life just launched a new line of pattern kits called Get The Look.
You buy the pattern + the fabric together in one bundle so you’re all ready to go!
Simple.

    Hi Dana!

My name is Sandra Guerra and I am deaf. But I wanted to say HI. Because today I was looking for a simple tutorial on how to sew a pencil skirt through YouTube and found your videos! I love how you make your instructions for me to understand as I have no clue in sewing. I just took an interested in learning. Anyway, your video has drawn my attention to check out your blog. And wow, you are gifted and talented! You have such good taste too! And you live in Austin, Texas?! That’s awesome because we are not too far from each other as I live in Liberty Hill. Anyway, I was wondering…Do you do any special events in Austin? If so, will you let me know? I would love to meet you!

    Sincerely,
    Sandra
