WHERE TO BUY METAL ZIPPERS:
Metal zippers make your project look unique and polished. You can find them in a local retail shops (look for jeans zippers, too!). But my favorite resources are online. Check out these shops:
• Zipit
• Amazon
• Zipperstop
INTERFACING:
You can use lots of different interfacings for the Parfait Pouch, depending on how sturdy you want it to be. Here are a few examples:
• Lightweight (will keep your fabric about the same stiffness, but add durability)
• Midweight (will add a little weight/body to your fabric)
• Low loft fleece (not too thick, but will give some dimension when topstitched)
• High loft fleece (more dimension, puffier)
FABRICS:
Interested in the fabrics you see in these photos? They’re from my first two fabric collections, Boardwalk Delight and Fiesta Fun. Click those links to find a shop that carries them.
Q: Help! I don’t have a teflon (non-stick) foot for sewing the vinyl.
A: Don’t worry, you can work around that. All you have to do is apply some matte finish tape (like Scotch Magic Tape) underneath your regular presser foot. I showed a couple of options in this post.
Q: What’s the best way to view and print the pattern file?
A: Adobe Reader! You can download it for free here.
