Etsy Inspiration Roundup

Hello BOY-lovin’ friends. Welcome to day two of our Celebration! I’m so pleased that some of you have already whipped up a pair of Kid Pants! A few of you have questions, which I’ll answer in the comments or in the next pants post coming this week.

Throughout the month we’ll be sharing some craft and playtime ideas with you. But my goal is to focus mainly on boy clothing.

Left and Right: NINIO Apparel, Middle: ZaaBerry shop

Most of my sewing ideas develop by soaking in the world around me…..kids playing at the park, walking through the store, the weather, trends, colors, candy and books, and browsing blogs and shops. But looking at pretty pictures probably inspires me the most. So I took a quick stroll through etsy to see what sort of boy creations were out there. And I was impressed! Quite a lot! If you’re not a sewer, then hop over and start buying! And if you’ve got an idea in your head that needs a boost of inspiration, check out these fabulous things people are making….
TOP: Cartoon dog named Bob, organic reusable snack bag, handknit raccoon hat, Red meat backpack.
MIDDLE: wool diaper cover longies, button up shirt, recycled wool soaker cover, upcycled wool shoes.
BOTTOM: Organic sheep shirt, little woolen leggings, mushroom backpack, visor hat.

Little Star Clothing:
I’m in love with this shop….the classic/cool styles, simple colors, and home-grown vibe. I seriously want everything in there for Owen. You must check them out.

And then click over to Jack Sprat too. Really unique basics.
Okay, more, more, more….
TOP: Easy Pack backpack, western button-up, wool jersey leggings, arty owl hooded blanket.
MIDDLE: Scooter shirt, John Deere beanie, lumberjack fleece jacket, little lion hood.
BOTTOM: Retro coveralls, organic underwear, longies custom order, sock monkey hat.

One final sensory overload….
TOP: Patchwork Pants, Monster Pack, little sailor sweater, The Beau (bowtie).
ROW 2: Third birthday shirt, Dashing little man coat, Cozy sweater (hoodie), science geek dinosaur shirt.
ROW 3: VW Surf shirt, leather fleece booties, earflap beanie, organic lunch tote
BOTTOM: Bowtie for Boys, nautical children’s sweater, Pop Finland green booties, Bermuda hand-dyed henley.

And,
I’m done.
What inspires you?
