Tomorrow’s the big day!
Turkey and stuffing and rolls, oh my.
And if you’re last minute planning (I may or may not have gone to the store twice this morning….and found a good parking spot both times. Thanksgiving miracle)….well, here are two recipe favorites from the Willard house.
CANDY CRUNCH YAMS
NEVER FAIL PIE CRUST
Give them a whirl!
They never disappoint.
Happy Thanksgiving friends!

Pies are the most important part of the meal chez moi. We have made 7 so far. A bit crazy, but so good. 🙂 Happy Thanksgiving!
I am from New Zealand and we call yams kumara and generally eat them roasted with meat, so to see them eaten with mashmallows is a little hard to comprehend. Maybe this Christmas I should try making a pie with them.
Enjoy your Thanks Giving Day.
Kelly, the yams are not in a pie, they are a side dish, the pie crust is something totally separate. I hope you have a happy Christmas and enjoy the yams with marshmellows! It’s a very yummy dish!
I made four pies this morning, all with the Never Fail Pie Crust. It’s just so easy to work with…I really can’t go back to butter crusts. Happy Thanksgiving!
We are establishing a new tradition (this is year 2): we go to our local turkey trot 5k fun run/walk. The prizes? Pies from a FABULOUS local restaurant. Last year we brought home 3. This year we won 5, but gave one away. Apple, cherry, peach, and pumpkin. So yummy! As an added bonus: a bit of exercise and no one has to make an extra dish. 😉
This is fantastic!
I hope you guys had a great time. We played some basketball after “dinner” and it felt really good to run around 🙂
