Red and Green =
and the Central Fire Station
In our family growing up, Christmas Eve meant a yummy get-together of finger foods and treats, a small program of songs, and a trip to the local fire stations. My mom always felt bad for the fire fighters and other public employees who had to work over the holidays. So after our dinner, a large group of our friends and family trekked over to 3 different stations, brought a plate of cookies, sang a few carols to the firemen and in return they opened up their station and let the kids climb on their trucks. It was so much fun and a win-win situation for everyone. To all of you who have to work on any special holiday….thank you for doing what you do! We appreciate your efforts and sacrifices.
