Celebrate and stuff…

Good morning friends!
Just a few notes to start off the week….

• Some of you have asked Celebrate the BOY. Are we doing it? Are we accepting project submissions? Did February really come and go? I’m so impressed you guys remembered that Feb was typically our month for CTB. Thanks! As for celebrating….Rae and I have decided that with so many things going on in our lives, we’re going to postpone The BOY. But he’ll be back at some point.
In the meantime…..

• Check out Rae’s Spring Top Sewalong!   And….

• Let’s Celebrate BABY! Sewing for babies might be my favorite type of sewing. And the projects are piling up over here; I’ve just got to get them off my chest. So over the next month I’ll share baby projects, ideas, thoughts, etc. And if baby isn’t part of your current routine….. hopefully you’ll find inspiration for other projects you’re working on.
Celebrate BABY will be a little different than other series I’ve done. There won’t be any guests, I won’t be posting baby stuff every day, it’ll just be more casual (since that’s the kind of lifestyle I need right now). Of course I’ll keep the archives page updated as the series goes along. So check there for project links.

And that’s it for now.
Come back tomorrow for a new baby tutorial!

Sounds fun! I have a baby girl too, so I will look forward to some inspiration. Hope all is well with your family.

  2. I’m so excited to see the baby projects you’ve got. Our baby is just 2 weeks old. I got a lot of baby projects done before he was born…but I’m always looking for more inspiration.

  3. I’m looking forward for this series.
I had also a baby boy almost 3 months ago, and I can’t wait to sew some more stuff for him.

Congrats on the arrival of little Clara.

  4. Sounds great! Can’t wait to see the new stuff. 🙂

  5. well, I’ll get in trouble if I get baby fever. I do have to friends expecting/with brand new little ones. I’ll say it’s for them….

  6. So excited for celebrating baby and to see what you’ve got planned. 🙂

  7. 8) Cara

So excited, particularly as I sit here nursing a not-yet two-week-old. I can’t wait to see what you have to share.

  8. Sounds great! Can’t wait to see what you’ve been making. I only have 3 weeks left before my lil one is due to arrive, and all I’ve been sewing are last min. baby projects. (9 months but you gotta wait til the last minute!)

  9. 10) Holly

yay for celebrate baby! my baby girl is going to really benefit from this. 🙂

  10. Sounds good. I’m looking forward to it 🙂

  13. 14) Karin

Perfect timing, I’ve got a baby coming this fall – maybe I’ll actually sew something for it!

  14. 15) Becky

Nice!! I’m a new reader and due in 8 weeks – very much looking forward to this baby series! Perfect timing!

  15. I’m due in June with my first, so I’m so excited for this series! I already have a ton of projects that I don’t have time for (including your crib sheet tutorial) – but I can always use more 🙂

  16. 17) Hannah

I’ve been waiting for this! My bubba girl is due in 2 weeks! So hopefully I get time to do a few proects before she arrives 🙂

  17. Oh I love baby stuff! Shame about CTB but im sure you will have baby boy as well 🙂

  18. 19) Alison F

Works for me! Another Celebrate the Boy would be fun but seeing as we are officially starting to try for #2 I’d love a Celebrate Baby!!! Can’t wait!!!

  19. Hooray! I’m due with number three in July and I have diaper patterns and kimono pieces all over my table right now. Can’t wait!

  20. This is EXCITING! My daughter is due in July and I’ve been sewing like a maniac because I am terrified that when she is born, having her 3 year old brother and her will leave me less time to make awesome stuff!

YEY DANA! You’ve always got such great timing 😀

  21. 22) Gena

YAY! I have a baby–and no boy–so I’ll be looking forward to it!!

And I haven’t had a chance to congratulate you on the newest blue-eyed beauty! Congratulations Mama! They’re all so adorable. . .

  22. Perfect! My niece can wait, but not my new baby (for this spring). I like having new ideas!

  23. Awesome! I think all of us need more baby projects for the baby showers and baby gifts. Thanks!

  24. 25) Netty

Yea Baby!!! I’m due in September so this is great timing! 🙂

  25. Dana,
I’m not sure if this is PERFECT or TORTURE for me! I’m 31 weeks and I want to do all of this good stuff!!!! (um, but will I find the time????) Thank you again for all the GREAT inspiration, your Clara is adorable!
CONGRATS! You make me think I can do this! It’s our #3 too…but we will be surprised with the gender at birth….so, I’ll wait to get the dye 😉
