Happy New Year friends!
I hope your holidays were a much needed break from the normal routine—but still packed with parties, gifts, and treats. I’m pretty sure I gained 5 pounds in donuts.
Mmmm. Donuts.
My husband is on a personal quest to find the best donut shops in the US. And since we took an impromptu trip to the South….well….there were more donuts to eat.
But we’ll save the South for another post.
Back to Christmas card mayhem.
You know it’s funny, for a few years I never did Christmas cards—I’m not really sure why? I think it felt like such a time commitment. And it totally is. But one day I decided that it’s kind of like giving a small gift to all our friends. And I often feel like I should stuff each envelope with little stickers or something extra that our friends can use? Maybe next year.
So. After four years of consistency, I guess I can say I’m a Christmas Card person.
It’s really fun to look back and see how our own kids have grown.
And how some things never change.
And as you all know too well, it’s a hassle to wrangle them in.
There are plenty of motivational speeches,
(candy bribes)
Encouragement,
Presumed innocence,
And threats.
Doh.
And so this year we just want to say: We feel you.
Through the good, and the chaos.
Because you love ’em to death.
and sometimes, as the song says,
From the Willard family to all of you:
Merry Christmas!
Happy Holidays!
And hooray for a New Year!
Thank you for being part of the adventure with us.
Here’s to a bunch of sewing, and making, and spending time with your families this year.
Cheers!

I really love these photos¡¡¡ especially the last one¡¡¡¡¡
Thank you Cari!
Haha. Yea, she looks like a little snow angel…an angel that’s pummeling us with a pillow to the head 🙂
OMGOSh your kiddos have grown up so much! Especially Clara! I remember when you announced your pregnancy. It was a little after I found out I was pregnant and here she is now looking like such a big girl! Your family is adorable and I love reading your posts. Happy new year!!!
It sure is a pleasure to see the out takes. Haha. Your cards, and really all of your pictures, are just so great I always wonder what kind of magic you must be using to get such great shots of the little ones. Glad to know we are not the only ones using bribery.
Love, love, love this. Such a fun group of photos. Thanks for sharing them with us.
Melissa

Adorable cards! Well done. I love the drawn snowflakes on the blue and the way the text hugs your sweet family on the white. Thanks for sharing!
Very cute! Love all the creative activities you are involved in! Happy New Year!
Absolutely delightful!!! <3 These are already instantly precious, and will be even more so, as the kiddies grow up. I love that you guys had fun with these! 🙂
Merry Christmas to you and your family and Happy New Year!
I hope it was a good start to 2016 for you.
Your photos are adorable (as always) and I love the little poem you added~ That is brilliant!
So cute! Can I asked where you had the printing done? They look great!
Costco!
I’ve used them for 3 years now and they’re pretty great. They have an option to “upload your own image”, which is love because I can create our card in Illustrator first. But they also have plenty of cute ready-to-go designs as well.
Love the cards.
ah…. I always look forward to seeing your card every year. And of course, this one did not disappoint! Thanks!
I’ve heard that the best donuts in Texas are in Round Rock. We haven’t made a trip down to try them, though. 🙂
Ahhh. You must! They are amazing!
But just stick with the glazed. They are the best thing there.
