Have a great weekend!

  1. Aloha. Just wanted to tell you how glad I found your tutorials on YouTube, especially the sewing ones. Sewing is intimidating to me as all I ever understand is knitterly and crochet speak. You make sewing look so easy and show each step well. I hope to warm up our sewing machine once I’m through holiday madness. Mele Kalikimaka to you and your ohana.

This is so funny – I pulled up your wrapping video just yesterday to refresh my memory as to how to do the ribbon! You must have read my mind & figured that other readers needed a refresher šŸ™‚

  3. So glad I haven’t wrapped any presents yet! Thank you so much for sharing this!

  4. 6) DK

Dana, your bow tutorial was just in time for me to help Santa with wrapping all of these gifts! Thank you! Merry Christmas!

  5. 7) Tharana

When I started wrapping gifts, I suddenly remembered your video from last year and went on to watch it. I got my gifts all wrapped up perfectly, thanks to you!! šŸ™‚

  6. Must you remind me it’s a week away????? Thank you for teaching me how to make bows and for the wonderful years of ideas, inspiration, laughs and tears! I hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and Happy New Year!

  7. For me, the best thing about this technique is that you don’t have that uneven knot on the underside. Really looking forward to trying this out later. Thanks for sharing!

Funny – I literally *just* thought about this an hour ago and logged in to see if I could find your post from last year. Thanks for making it easy to refresh my memory! šŸ™‚

  9. 11) Sally L

Starting to wrap my presents, so I thought I better find your ribbon tutorial again to help me out. Thanks, Dana!

  10. 12) Melissa

Dana, when I tie a bow on presents this way i find that people still slide it off the present instead of pulling the tail of the bow. Likely this is based on their past expires. How can I change this behavior? I’ve considered writing pull here with fabric pen on the ribbon. I suppose adding something in the bow as you’ve shown would encourage people to simplely pull the bow tail.

haha. Great question! It would be funny if you wrote “pull here” on the gift. Of course then they might think it’s a gag…like something is going to pop out of the box šŸ™‚

  11. 14) Melissa

too funny, I also learned this working at a chocolate shop (in college) and have always appreciated the skill šŸ˜‰

  12. Now I want to go add bows to all my Christmas Presents! Thanks šŸ™‚
