Now that you know the tricks for sewing with Oilcloth, let’s hook you up with the goods!
How about some Oilcloth + gadgets?
It’s an….
Sorry.
I just had to.
Okay!
Here’s what I want YOU to have….
1. TEFLON FOOT
If you really want to sew with Oilcloth, you really want a teflon presser foot. It will make the whole process so much easier, and enjoyable. You’ll watch those pretty fabrics glide smoothly under your machine. It’s so worth it!
And today Baby Lock is giving away THREE teflon feet.
So three winners get to try it out!
These feet are meant to fit on Baby Lock sewing machines, which are wonderful and fantastic (read about my new fun machine here). Of course if you have another brand, you can always try snapping it on…cause it just might fit!
And now that you’re a “foot” ahead of the rest (heh heh), you definitely need….
2. OILCLOTH FABRIC
Some of you asked where I find such fun selections of oilcloth and I can answer that in one run-on word:
oilclothbytheyard.com
I love this shop! So much.
If there’s an oilcloth out there, they have it. SERIOUSLY.
Just click on the about page to see their warehouse. I want to have a party in there…. maybe with my oilcloth coasters and drinks?
Oilcloth by Yard is filled with so many pretty oilcloth prints.
And they ship their fabric in rolls, which I love.
If you’re not a sewer but still love Oilcloth….they even sell handmade items! Check out their shop called Freckled Sage.
Today for our giveaway they’re offering one yard of Oilcloth fabric to THREE winners.
Yay!
And for anyone and everyone, they’re offering grab bags of Oilcloth for only $10!….which is a fantastic idea. For many of these sewing projects, all you need is a bit of fabric. And these bags are filled with 2 yards worth of oilcloth remnants for 1/2 of the normal price. They’ve created this special listing just for you guys! So go grab your bag.
And finally you need…
3. WONDER CLIPS
Now you can set your pin cushion aside, and sew like a pro.
YES.
You’ll love them.
So to sum it all up—
THREE winners will each receive:
• Teflon Presser Foot by Baby Lock
• One yard of Oilcloth from Oilcloth by the Yard
• WONDER CLIPS
GIVEAWAY RULES:
• Leave a comment, that’s it.
• Only one entry per person.
• Open to US residents only.
• THREE winners will be picked via random.org
• Giveaway ends Sunday 12/7/14 at 10pm Central time.

I would love to have the right tools to sew with oilcloth!
Such fun!
I would love a teflon foot. Since reading your blog about them, I’m convinced I need one. Lately I have discovered sewing with vinyl and oilcloth and am tired of using tissue paper. It’s the only thing I have found that works so far. Fingers crossed!
Love oilcloth, put it on my dining room chairs, so easy to clean with 4 kids.
Fun & beautiful oil cloth with all the right tools! Love it 🙂
I Love sewing with oil cloth. I’ll have to try that new foot.
ooh, I need this because I have never sewn oil cloth because it scares me a bit . . . but I am hoping that will change with your new series . . . and I own a baby lock so I would be able to use the Teflon foot . . . so please pick me 😉
i would love to sew with oilcloth!
I’ve never worked with oilcloth and would love the chance. Of course trying out anything else would be fun too.
Those little clips are brilliant!
Thanks for the chance to win. I would love to try sewing with oilcloth and the clips are awesome.
I used to think oilcloth was tacky. Haha. With this series you have opened my mind to the possibilities.
Can’t wait to try some of these projects!
How exciting! I just love my Babylock machines and am always interested in accessories for them! I’ve recently graduated from sewing diapers to sewing for youngest two little girls, and these oil cloth ideas inspire me to create lovely tea parties. Thank you so much for all you do!
What a great giveaway! Thanks Dana!
so cute
thanks for the opportunity
Oilcloth is filled with wonderful memories. I associate it was a small round table in front of a window at my great grandma’s house. She always covered it with oil cloth and I often covered it with Nilla Waffer crumbs and hot chocolate splatters.
I’d love to cover my table with oil cloth too.
Thank you!
I purchased some oilcloth months ago and have never used it! Now I have the confidence to get started on a project! Thanks!
Thanks for the oilcloth tips! I’d love to try working with it.

Postive vibes and hopeful outcomes for all!
All the cloth is so pretty! I’ve never sewn with oil cloth but I’ve been wanting to use it as a table cloth for ages. I didn’t think to buy online and there’s not a lot of selection locally, where I live.
Thanks for the tutorials…I always want to buy the pretty oil cloth I see in the fabric store, but I don’t ever know what to do with it!
This would be an exciting win!
Oooooh, wish we were better at sewing oilcloth….truth be told, we confuse it with laminate ALL. THE. TIME. {and have major discussions about which to order when tackling a rare project needing that type of material}!! Would LOVE to win this grab bag!!
I would love this. I hadn’t thought about the pins. great idea in stead of straight pins that would create holes.
Sounds like I could get myself into some fun new projects!

What cute prints looks like so much fun to play with!!
Hi Dana–
I just wanted to let you know that I used your recommendation and ordered from Oilcloth By the Yard. I have never had a worse fabric shopping experience. Upon clicking order–I realized my husband never changed our address on his PayPal account when we moved 2 years ago. I called them immediately, and emailed them. They shipped the order out anyway. I currently have a lot of fabric being sent to a home I no longer live at. When I called the company– the woman working (who I was told was the manager) treated my extremely rudely. I was yelled at and told she was too busy. I think the fabrics are cute– but thought you might want to be aware of the poor customer service.
Thanks,
Anna
