MADE + remade with DIY Network

When I was at ALT in January I met up with some fantastic people from the DIY network…and they showed me their fantastic new site called MADE + remade.  It’s a place to Make it, Fix it, Learn it, and Find it in the DIY world.  And today they’re interviewing me as part of their Creative Geniuses series.  Fun!

So come learn more about my creative process, my all-time favorite projects (like the little green dress I remade for Clara), where I get my best ideas, and why I like to keep it simple.

Plus I get to share the DIY homepage with Vanilla Ice for the day?
Quick to the point, to the point no faking….cooking MCs like a pound of bacon.

Check out the complete interview HERE.

Happy Monday from me and baby Clara!
(some days I wish she was little again)

  1. Awesome! Its really amazing piece of writing, I have got much clear idea about from this piece of writing.

  2. 2) Nancy

Dana, I love all the colour that you incorporate into your life – always looks fresh and fun! Thank you for creating this blog, I really enjoy following along and learning a thing or two or four… 🙂

  3. MITICA DONNA! WonderMom 😉 insanely wishing I wasn’t living in Italy so I could attend some ALT Summit events. But I do love pasta too much… Anyway.
You have such a simply clear shiny way to share things: everytime I read your posts, I must run to the sewing machine and start doing something. you can do it, right? Great job, and thanks again for sharing!!

  4. 4) Ruth

Congratulations! What a fun interview! Ever since I came across your blog about 3 years ago you have inspired me in so many ways, giving me the confidence to start sewing for my kids, myself, and my home. Now it’s one of my hobbies and favorite creative outlets. It was fun to learn a little more about you and your blog through this interview. Keep up the good work!

  5. 5) Penny

Great interview, Dana! Your blog is the best – your creations are the best – your love of sharing is the best – your tutorials and patterns – your videos – your enthusiasm and joy and the list goes on and on! Keep on keepin’ on, Dana – You truly Rock!!!
    Enjoy the day.

  6. Dana, I just loved this! What a great interview and I think I will have my daughter try sewing on a paper bag! I’ve been following you forever and just love your eye for photography, fantastic fabric prints and colors, and your fun personality that shines through your blog posts. I’m always excited to see a new post!

  7. Love the interview, Dana! It’s so great to hear what an artist/blogger that you admire really thinks and learning more about the behind the scenes aspect of her work. I hadn’t thought of sewing on a paper bag without thread for learning. I am putting together a short series on learning to machine sew and made up some printable mazes to practice sewing on, but it hadn’t occurred to me to do it without thread or to even just use a paper bag. Do you mind if I snag the idea and share it with my readers? (giving you credit for the idea, of course!) Congrats on the interview! 🙂 Lisa

  8. And, yes, Dana, you ARE a creative genius. (Ice, Ice, baby. Dropin’ lyrics. Ha! Ha! You cracked me up!)

  9. Seeing those pix of Clara! She’s so big now. Actually puts me in the mood for baby sewing which i need to hop to. Due in August :-)… I like yo MC’ing haha

  10. Dana rocks! Talk about a lot on your plate these days!! Building, new video series, 3 shorties Etc. Can’t wait until your First Day dress pattern comes out. You shared a picture long ago with the printed pattern pieces in the works- I think… If I cheer ‘go Dana go! Go Dana Go!’ Maybe it will move to the front of your very busy line? Fingers crossed. Spring time is twirl season 🙂
