Little Robe Riding Hood

Just one more to share…
I wasn’t sure I liked it at first.
Well, let me rephrase that.
I wasn’t sure I was going to like it when I cut out the red towel. The color felt super masculine, Darth Mal-ish, and blah.

So I paired it with girly pink trim (recognize that print from the Bias Tape Tutorial?)and then I loved it!
A little more Hello Kitty; a little less Star Wars.
and very little red riding hood, pool style.
Now off you go Little Red.
Into the woods.
With a basket of treats for Granny.
Beware of wolfie.
And just have fun.Total fun.
Don’t forget….all MADE patterns are still on sale til Saturday Night, at midnight.
$6 each!

  2. 2) Lynne Tilley

That is just so adoreable and cute. Great looking pattern. Precious model, too šŸ™‚
    I love the fabric choices

  3. 4) Natali

I WILL get around to making these next summer. I love the idea that they can just wear them to the pool and we wouldn’t be worried about swim covers and dragging towels.

  4. Super cute Dana! One of your robes is still on my list of things to make for Olivia. She’s totally growing out of her hooded towel and I noticed that beach towels are going on sale now that it’s the end of the season. Perhaps it’s time. šŸ™‚

  5. 6) Laura

So cute! Do I need to have a serger to be able to sew the terry cloth?

  9. I don’t even have any children to make this stuff for, but I love reading your posts and the fun pictures. Your daughter makes a perfect model and the clothing you make are so perfect every time. šŸ™‚ Hopefully some day my sister has another baby and I will definitely be making a lot of your patterns for him/her.

  10. 12) Sarah K.

Love this! Next summer for sure. The headline of the paper ths morning was actually announcing the end of summer in Seattle. Something to the effect of, “enjoy it now because it’s almost over…”. Ouch.

  11. LOVE it!
(and not in the least bit Star Wars-y!)
And what a beautiful model, too!

My kids grew out of all their beach robes from last summer and I used the biggest pattern you had! I don’t know how good I will be about extending it on my own but I guess I’ll try! I’m guessing that’s what you did here too, how did you do it?

  18. Can’t wait till its warm enough here too make these! Though if I start them now they might actually get completed!! šŸ™‚
