Happy 4th of July! I hope you had a wonderful holiday. Ours was filled with family, friends, church, food, music, flags, a trip to the park, cute kids, and lots of red,white, and blue. 
No matter what time of year, I love a patriotic celebration. And the words of our classic patriotic songs often leave me teary eyed; reminding me of the blessings in my life and why I’m proud to be an American. I’m thankful for the freedoms we enjoy.

O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife.
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!

May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness
And every gain divine!
God bless this nation and help us each to be better citizens of our country and world.
